I used to visit this location all the time, when Lotus still existed there. Lotus has since moved down the street, and this place filled the void. I came here with negative assumptions and was very pleasantly proven wrong. The food is awesome, the service is great, and the location can't be beat.

Buffet was amazing. I'm very picky with Indian. This was the best in the north bay I've tried. Craving to go back. Chef has amazing experience. A favorite of mine!

Amazing Indian food!!! I just ate at New Delhi Indian in San Rafael. I tried the lunch buffet, which meant I got to try a few of their items. The food was amazing. There was nothing I tried that I did not like. The Saag Paneer was delicious, the butter chicken likewise, and the goat curry is some of the best I have ever had. That might be my favorite of them all. I also finally had some tandoori chicken that was not super dry. Usually, I don't order it because of this issue, but theirs was super yummy. I was a huge fan and loyal supporter of Bombay Grill. Sadly, they closed, and I could not find any Indian food that did not cost an arm and a leg and was just meh. New Delhi is now my go-to spot for Indian. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed. Extra yummy.

Amazing goat curry! The mango lassi is very yummy. We enjoyed the spinach curry as well. Today we tried the lentil soup too. This place has such a nice way with the dishes. I have really enjoyed it every time. A new ownership I can tell also. Not pretentious, straight up delicious.

Great service, clean cozy environment, good food Came for lunch buffet today, haven't been here in years and decided to give this place a go. Looks brighter and slightly different layout from what I remember. Selection has decreased quite a bit, but the quality of the food and excellent service in addition to DELICIOUS HOT FRESH NAAN more than makes up for it! * this might be the ONLY time you hear me say that the butter naan was better than the garlic naan. Tandoori chicken perfectly cooked and seasoned, has a little kick and the goat curry was my favorite. Veggie pakora was good too. Chef came out and waved while I was taking pics & video for this review. Staff is super friendly and engaging, definitely adding this place to our lunch rotation.

New Delhi May not be the prettiest Indian restaurant but it may well be the best. Service is attentive and friendly and the lunch buffet options are varied and delicious. They have lots of vegetarian options along with meat dishes too. Dishes were refilled regularly. They even offer a choice of garlic, butter or regular naan to accompany the meal. If you need to fill the India-shaped hole in your stomach, you would be hard pressed to find a better choice than New Delhi.

This review is long over due! I have tried NDIC several times and I must say I have never been disappointed with their food. This place is great especially for lunch buffet. I have tried both the lunch buffet as well as dinner. If you are craving for authentic Indian food, this is your go to place. Besides that the staff is great and has good service. I have tried almost all the dishes on the menu but Veggie Korma , pesto naan , Chana masala and chicken tikka is my favorite.

I went here for lunch buffet in a weekday and was really impressed with the variety and authenticity of the Indian food. I loved it so much that I decided to cater a family lunch for 25 people from here. The executive chef here Krishna used to be a head chef at a famous Indian restaurant in the city. We had a really smooth process in designing a menu, confirming price and details (we did per person price and they offer catering by trays). I had to order delivery and it came right on time in these amazing heaters that kept the food warm. I highly recommend this place for eating at the restaurant or for your next catering opportunity. My favorite part was the food was not oily at all and it was catered to the spice level we wanted (mild/medium) and I had veg and chicken/lamb options.

My sister and I stopped by for the lunch buffet and we can't wait to go back! There are so many great things about this place! We came in on a rainy day close to closing, but the staff was super kind and accommodated us. It was pretty empty inside. Our waitress was super kind and attentive to us the whole time. The food was delicious! Definitely the best indian food I've had in the bay area. I am a huge fan of chana masala and this was the best one I've had! Super flavorful. The samosas were another favorite of ours. They were crispy on the outside and the filling was soft and flavorful. I could eat my weight in these alone. I loved pairing them with the mint chutney which leads to my next point! All of their sauces were DELICIOUS. The mint was my favorite but the mango and tamarind were incredible too. We were too full for dessert but will definitely be back again. I definitely recommend checking this place out!
